The Privilege Of ‘Taking’
How can we take? What does it mean to ‘take’? Why does it matter? True and authentic taking is trust in motion. Taking from a place of connection, transparency, empowerment and surrender can only occur when there are equitable power balances in play.
This is the beautiful nature of reciprocated power. For men to take the woman they are with earnestly, with respect, reverence and honour, they must be given energetic (and at times overt) permission to do so. We are not referring to taking without love, attention, permission, care and reciprocal exchange.
We are referring to that taking that is yearned for that is asked for that is screamed for. We are speaking to that taking that requires deep trust. Where the body surrenders and the mind and heart open in expansive unity. We are referring to a gift that is bestowed upon man that must be appreciated sexually, relationally, mindfully, emotionally and spiritually.
This taking then becomes a privilege, an honour and an act of surrender from both involved. The surrender is an exchange that is uninhibited and free. There is such trust there, that a woman will open her heat, expand her mind to the far reaches of possibility and expose her body fully to the man that holds that energy.
Men, this is a gift bestowed upon us and one that should not be taken with haste or lightly. We are referring to a connection like no other. We are referring to not a taking but rather a giving. What appear like taking is giving. To being giving fully tip each other and in that moment releasing their fears of being seen and immersing in to the present.
To give in this way is not easy for woman. So much collective, systemic and historic suffering and violence. So, here in this space to gaze in to the eyes of her beloved and have the eyes tell the story of surrender is a gift and opening that must be revered. When man is humbled by this act and gift, a special form of intrinsic worship transpires.
The power man holds here is understood to not only come from his actions but is inspired and fuelled by the posturing of the feminine. This becomes a transformative journey for compatible growth and intimate sharing like no other. We appreciate beyond the superficial and in to depth — beyond the mundane and in to the profane.
Connection such as this must be held in deep reverence and respect by man. To wield this power mindlessly is a disservice to humanity and only splits the gender chasms further. We have an opportunity for real, meaningful and deep connection. It is time to step in to our power. To cease to take mindlessly and through condition and recognise the power in reciprocal giving to and of each other.
One is always glad to be of service.
