The Troubled Masculine
1. Feels despair and frustration — not happy with his life
2. Has no time for what he truly cares for and values
3. Stuck in a cycle of excess and extremity
4. Feels defined by his social status, “things”, titles and how others see him
5. Is in a constant state of comparison
6. Feels lost and not on purpose — caught in a “rat race”
7. Can’t be intimate, present and attentive with his lover
8. Suffers ill health, is overweight, inactive and over-indulgent
9. Has few to no close male friends
10. Is resentful and feels massive social pressure
11. Emotionally unavailable and numb
12. Is in avoidance — television, alcohol, work
Men, if this is you, you are not alone. I feel you. The world feels you and your community’s and lovers feel you. The question is do you feel yourself enough to shift this paradigm and step into a new sense of empowerment?
You are needed. You are not a victim. You are not weak. At times in life we lose our way. We need community. We need support. We require love and non-judgment. We must be held to a higher standard. Be accountable by respected peers.
Where can you surround yourself with a tribe that sees you fully? This doesn’t just apply to men. Masculine life force resides within us all. If you are feeling unworthy of community, despair around your purpose and meaning, if you are feeling isolated, disconnected and your self-care is void your inner masculine is troubled. When we turn to distractions, we are choosing to be lost and not face our issues.
We shift what no longer serves when we embrace a new wave of potential. A possibility that inspires us. What inspires you? Where are you most excited, active and pulled towards? Life is an ever-expansive ebb and flow of profound experiences.
What can you deeper pay attention to in your life so that you may choose to flourish and expand instead of contract and retreat. Your medicine, sacrament and gifts are needed by those around you.
We want to see you, feel your presence and know your value. You are not alone. You are not alone. The time for isolation is over. It is time to come home to your tribe. You get to choose.
One is glad to be of service.
